Youth
Youth service is an initiative that “recognizes the positive change by youth and young adults via leadership and involvement.”
Sewanee Rotaract Club
Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18-30 to develop leadership and business professionalism, exchange ideas with leaders in the community, and have fun through service. Rotaract will help its members network with Sewanee community members while also having a positive impact on the community through service and philanthropy. The Rotaract Club is partnered with the Monteagle-Sewanee Rotary Club in a commitment to serve and positively impact the world.
Interact Club at St. Andrew’s
Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people. Made up of members ages 14-18 or secondary-school age, Interact gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects. The St. Andrews Sewanee (SAS) Interact Club is the Interact club sponsored by the Monteagle-Sewanee rotary Club. SAS is a small boarding and day school located between Monteagle and Sewanee.
Top of the Rock Choir
The Monteagle-Sewanee Rotary members have played a key role in creating, implementing, and sustaining the Monteagle Elementary Top of the Rock Choir. This program guides fifth- to eighth-grade students in developing foundational choral skills and culminates in an annual Holiday and Spring Choral Program. The choir experience addresses social determinants of health for Monteagle Elementary students by providing essential music and choral opportunities that enrich the fine arts and enhance academic performance, attendance, and discipline. The program features two choral concerts each year, inviting community members and residents from neighboring counties to experience and appreciate musical programs, ultimately improving educational experiences in the plateau area.
